Reminder to Exporters - Use Current B13A Forms to Avoid AMPS Penalties

According to an article published March 21, 2005 by CIFFA (Canadian Freight Forwarder Association), CBSA Quebec advised that over 50% of the B13A documents presented by couriers on behalf of their clients are subject to potential AMPS penalties. With the mandatory implementation of the "new" export regulations taking effect on May 16, 2005, all exporters not utilizing are reminded to ensure the most current B13A form or other authorized reporting method is utilized to avoid penalties assessed by CBSA.

"K" Line is not responsible nor liable for ensuring exporters utilize proper formats. CBSA will assess penalties directly to the offending exporters.
