Philippine Customs Mandatory Requirements for Cargo Measurement

Philippine Customs has advised that effective immediately the following details are needed for all cargo delivering to the Philippines. This includes Container, Ro-Ro, Bulk and Energy vessels.

Accurate Cubic Measurement which is commonly referred to as CBM or M3 should be provided.  Customs has allowed the carrier to submit a CBM of .01 CBM if the CBM was missing on the shipping instructions. Philippine Customs will now begin to scrutinize this information and incorrect data could be penalized up to USD $500.

In addition please provide a complete and detailed commodity description. General commodity names such as auto parts, freight all kinds, etc. is not acceptable.
