"K" Line Policy - Implementation of IMDG (International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code) Amendment 37

Effective November 1, 2015:

All DG applications and shipments tendered to "K" Line on, or after November 1, 2015 must be compliant with the International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code (IMDG Amendment 37).

Any application/shipment prepared in accordance with Amendment 36 will be declined by "K" Line after October 31, 2015.

Background:

Year 2015 has been a "transition year" in which the International Maritime Organization (IMO) authorized use of either Amendment 36 or 37.
According to IMO, Amendment 37 officially comes into force on January 1, 2016.

In order for "K" Line to comply with enforcement of Amendment 37, the implementation date must be set as November 1, 2015 due to transit times, transshipments and vessel arrival dates.
